Magnificent platinum Day-Date with an unpolished case offered as a full set with complete president bracelet.
The case is in excellent, unpolished condition, characterized by full lugs and perfect proportions. Its unpolished state is further highlighted by the fully intact caseback sticker.
There are minor signs of wear; a small chip on the upper left lug and one or two small scratches on the case are present, but overall, it is in fantastic condition for an unpolished case.
The silver Day-Date dial with Roman numerals is in perfect condition. This is the version without lume material. While I am usually a big fan of the ice-blue dial on the 118206, this particular dial and its tone-on-tone aesthetic (a true example of “stealth wealth”) really won me over.
Matching the dial, the hands are also without lume material and are perfectly preserved.
This superb platinum Day-Date delights its new owner as a wonderful full set from Italy. It has originally been sold on December 21, 2001, by the Rolex authorized dealer Astrua in Turin, Italy (Country Code 170). The set is impressive, including the ultra-rare extra-large box, both booklets, and more.
Just as the watch itself, the 83206 President bracelet is unpolished, showing only slight signs of wear and no stretch. It comes with all 24 links and with clasp code of DE10 (October 2001), it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: “Stealth wealth” in unpolished condition—a fantastic set.
