Beautiful Bark Day-Date with a tropical dial and a wonderful President bracelet.
The case is in very good condition. While I cannot say with 100% certainty that it is unpolished, the proportions are excellent, the edges are sharp and the matte finish on the top of the case is very good.
The watch has been worn and shows light signs of wear and some sleeve polish.
It isn’t excessive in my opinion, so it has been left in this lovely vintage condition.
The dial is a wonderful champagne color that has developed a yellow patina over the decades. This “tropical” effect is beautifully even and gives the watch a distinctive character.
The dial is in excellent condition: the print is crisp, there is no damage, and all lume dots are fully intact.
The hands are also in excellent condition, featuring a patina that complements the dial perfectly.
The bark-finish bezel is wonderfully sharp with perfect engraving. The sapphire crystal is flawless.
The 8385 President bracelet is a highlight. First, it is almost certainly unpolished, as it displays perfect bark-finish engraving and a fully intact clasp. Second, it shows almost no stretch and comes with 23 links. The clasp code is W3 (March 1995), confirming it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: A fantastic Bark Day-Date with an outstanding dial and a wonderful President bracelet.
