Super rare RAIL DIAL Sea-Dweller with box and papers, as well as first purchase invoice. The case is in very good condition. Gently polished in the past, it shows nice proportions, full lugs, good edges and a very nice matt finish on the top of the case. This watch has been worn with pleasure over the last few decades and therefore shows some signs of wear. All in all, a really good and cool vintage case that reminds you of the numerous adventures and uses of this watch. The highlight of this watch is definitely the MK2 RAIL DIAL. In addition to the early single and double red dials, the MK2 RAIL DIAL is one of the rarest dial variants of the 1665. Built in exclusively in the serial number range from 5.6 to 6 million and produced by the Stern company, it is characterized by the clear separation of the words Superlative Chronometer Officially Ceritified. A great and very present feature on the dial. In addition to the rarity, the condition is also something that makes the collector’s heart beat faster. Top dial with strong print and the lume material has taken on a wonderful creamy yellow patina. The original tritium hands show a patina perfectly harmonizing with the dial. The bezel is the original and rare early version, which can be recognized by the fact that it is significantly higher than the later version. Furthermore, an original MK3 inlay is built in, which confirms the great overall impression of this watch. Of course we also gave the watch a t39 superdomed so that the collector can simply be happy ^^ The watch is amazing, especially with the scope of delivery. Original papers sold on 03/02/1979 by rolex authorized dealer Peter Chew’s in Hong Kong and with original purchase invoice, with identical handwriting and full serial number noted on the invoice! It doesn’t get any better than that. Original box, wallet and other goodies round off the great scope of delivery. Used for what a watch has been made for, namely for use on the wrist, the bracelet has not survived the last few years. Therefore, the watch comes on the later service bracelet with a service clasp.
