A wonderful, unpolished Steel/Gold Sub Date in a blue configuration.
The case is in worn, yet unpolished condition. As the pictures perfectly show, the case presents excellent proportions—featuring the typically broader bevels characteristic of early 1990s Submariners—and a magnificent matte finish on the top of the case. The exceptional quality of the case is further confirmed by the fully intact caseback sticker.

The magnificent blue Tritium dial is in perfect condition. It features a crisp print, a lovely, slightly creamy patina, and—as an additional highlight—the dial has undergone the characteristic color shift from blue to a subtle purple over the decades. This effect varies in intensity depending on the viewing angle, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the watch.
The hands are also Tritium and match the color of the dial beautifully. The bezel remains incredibly sharp and the inlay —which is original to the watch—features a Tritium pearl and shows only minimal signs of wear.
This fantastic Sub Date comes as a full set with its original box and papers. It has been originally sold in the USA by rolex authorized dealer J. Jessop and Sons.
The 93153.18 Oyster bracelet (where “18” denotes 18-karat gold) is—just as the watch itself—unpolished; it shows the typical light signs of wear (particularly on the polished center links) and shows virtually no stretch. It comes with 11 links and with a clasp code of O5 (indicating May 1990), it is the original bracelet that comes with the watch.
