Description: Exceptional Patrizzi Daytona with an amazing dial (Dark Knight) in a full set.
The case is in great condition. Recently slightly polished, the case shows wonderful proportions, full lugs, extremely sharp edges and a perfect matt finish on the top of the case. Signs of wear are minimal and of course there are no deep scratches, dents or anything like that.
The highlight of this watch is of course the wonderful and extremely rare super dark Patrizzi dial. Until now, these extremely dark Patrizzi dials have only been documented in late S, W and T series. The reason for this is that all three serial number ranges have the identical dial configuration, called MK5 dial.
The current dial shows an extremely dark discoloration, which changes in color from almost black to nut brown to cocoa brown depending on the incidence of light. Furthermore, the totalisers are clear and without color gradients, which often detract the beauty of a Patrizzi dial. The varnish coat of the dial has taken on the usual slight matting of Patrizzi dials and there is a small scratch in the right totalisator, but this does not affect the dial’s beauty in the slightest way.
All in all, an absolutely rare dial with a wonderful presence on the wrist.
Incidentally, an almost identically colored dial has recently been sold by Phillips in Geneva. The watch was also a T series and achieved a top result.
The steel bezel, just as the case, has carefully been polished, is wonderfully clear and has full writing.
The sapphir glas is perfect as expected.
This exceptional Patrizzi Daytona pleases its new owner with box and papers. She was sold on October 2nd, 1997 by rolex certified dealer La Gerbe d’Or in Toulouse (France LC 110).
The set is really top, with original box incl. 16520 sticker and black sticker. Correct Votre Oyster booklet and seal. Furthermore, the previous owner promised me that I would receive the original Daytona booklet. He bought the watch with a booklet and will find it soon.
Thus a real FULL SET.
Just as the watch, the 78790 Oyster bracelet has been minimally polished, shows almost no stretch, minimal signs of wear and with the clasp code XX for XXXX, it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: A Daytona highlight of my watch career. This watch has a charisma on your wrist that knocks you out!
