Description: The classic among the classics. Beautiful 16610 Tritium Submariner.
The case is in fine condition. The watch has certainly been polished in the past, but not massively, so the proportions are good, the edges are nice and sharp, and the matte finish on the top of the case is very good. There are signs of wear and a tiny small scratch here and there, but the watch is a real joy to wear and can be worn without worry.
As the watch is a U series from 1998, it is one of the last versions with tritium lume. The condition of the dial is perfect and the lume material has taken on a lightly creamy patina. The hands are also top-notch and with good matching patina to the dial.
The glas is undamaged, the bezel is sharp, and the bezel inlay is the cool old version with a tritium dot. By the way, it always has to be darker than the dial and hands, as much more mass is used here which simply causes more aging.
The watch comes on a clean 93150 Oyster bracelet with light stretch and light signs of wear. The clasp code is Z8 for august 1997 and therefore it’s the original bracelet to the watch.
Conclusion: Everything said. A classic as you would want it.
