BIG RED Daytona from 1986 with German service documents The case is in very good condition. Certainly polished once in the past, it shows wonderful proportions, great sharp edges and a top matt finish on the top of the case. Signs of wear are only present to a small extent and nothing that would detract from the beauty of the watch. The bezel is also in very good condition, with fully intact numbers and minutes and only minor signs of wear. The black BIG RED Daytona dial, also called reverse PANDA, is great. The print is wonderfully clear with bold red DAYTONA lettering. Typical of these dials, the white totalizers are showing some patina, but this is always the case and is only slightly present on this watch. The lume dots are completely intact and have a great patina. In some places they were probably slightly relumed, but this is not visible in person and many fellow dealers would probably not even recognize it. The tritium hands are great and have a consistent patina to the dial. We have treated this watch to a brand new old t21 superdome glass so the full vintage charm comes into its own. The watch comes with a service estimate from Rolex Cologne from 2009, as well as confirmation that the service offer is accepted and the work is to be carried out. Unfortunately, the warranty card that followed with it is no longer available. The 78350 Oyster bracelet with matching 571 lugs is in very good condition with light stretch. It shows minor signs of wear and whas probably been exchanged in the course of the 2009 service.
Conclusion: Great BIG RED with German provenance.
