Description: Beautiful 6239 Paul Newman Daytona with tropical tri-colored dial.
The case is in very good condition. Certainly polished in the past, it still shows full lugs with very good proportions, well-sharp edges and a clean matte finish on the top of the case. There are minor signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that.
The three-colored EXOTIC or PAUL NEWMAN dial is not 100% perfect, but beautiful with a wonderful dark brown patina in the totalizers. But one after anonther:
The dial is clear with only minor signs of aging and a great creamy white patina.
The red minute track on a black background shows no signs of damage.
The T Swiss T lettering has the typical “sing a song” waveform, which is mainly to be found in Paul Newmans references 6239 and 6241.
The tritium lume dots are present, although in two or three places with a little loss of luminance.
Another highlight in the highlight are the brown, aged totalizers of the watch. Probably due to high UV radiation and high humidity (the watch comes from Mexico), they are a rare feature of an already very rare dial.
Conclusion on the dial: Great expression, great presence and certainly a highlight on the market due to the tropical discoloration of the totalizers.
The original hands are in good condition. The minute hand has absorbed some moisture over the past 50 years, which darkens the lume material. Difficult to see in reality, we left it that way, but the pointer can be exchanged if requested.
The bezel, like the case, was slightly refurbished in the past, but is original to the watch and presents itself with full and clear numbers.

Conclusion: Great three-colored Paul Newman Daytona with a lot of expression on the arm, as well as a rare feature of an already rare dial.
