Steel/gold Jumbo Nautilus in great condition with original Sigma dial. The case is in great condition. Gently polished for the first time as part of a Patek service, it shows wonderful proportions, a great finish on all components of the watch and only minor signs of wear. To rate the quality of a Nautilus, I always use the distance between the bezel and the case. Here you notice where the edges meet, if there are any overhangs and, above all, you check whether the spring bars stand out on the sides. These are never shortened and tell you immediately what quality you have. Everything really fits here, starting with the shape of the bezel, the distances and also the spring bars. The wonderful original Nautilus dial is in great condition. Wonderful sunray cut meets wonderful texturing and a great patina of the indices. Of course, this is the original dial, which can be recognized by the SIGMA lettering at 6 o’clock. The Greek symbol Sigma to the right and left of the SWISS lettering stands for the indices and indicates that they are made of precious metal (yellow gold). Identical to the dial, the hands are wonderful and have a harmonious patina. This very fine Nautilus comes with its original box, an extract from the archives and a service invoice from Wempe. The integrated Nautilus steel/gold bracelet is in fine condition just as the watch. We specially made a picture where the watch is on the bracelet to show the light stretch.
Conclusion: Qualitatively very fine Nautilus 3700/1 Jumbo. I’m not always a steel/gold fan, but here I give a clear GO!
