What an incredibly casual and unique day date. Before you read the text, look at the pictures. This watch and especially the dial have undergone a wonderful metamorphosis. Originally born classically golden, the dial has developed a unique and beautiful patina over the decades. Depending on the angle and the incidence of light, the dial shines from super strong gold to clear orange. Unique and beautiful.
The case is in very good condition. Wonderfully sharp edges, great proportions and a top matt finish on the top of the case. There are minor signs of wear, but overall it’s a great case.
As I said, the dial is a real unique highlight. It has developed a wonderful patina over the decades and shines in strong gold and even orange in direct light. The condition of the dial is very good, even wonderful for a tropical dial. The patina is beautiful and even, not stained or washed out. The print is wonderfully sharp and apart from one small spot (see pictures) on the dial, there are no weaknesses.
The bezel is still extremely sharp, with slight shirt polish and minor signs of wear. The sapphir glas is perfect.
The 8385 president bracelet is in very good condition. It shows light stretch and minor signs of wear. It has 22 links and with clasp code W2 for February 1996, it is the original bracelet to the watch.
Conclusion: Unique day date with a super exciting look.
