A beautiful 17000 Oysterquartz with a silver dial and important service papers.
The case is in excellent condition. It has been carefully and skillfully polished during a Rolex service in 2019. It shows no signs of wear, featuring sharp edges, clean transitions and plenty of material integrity.
Just as the case, the bezel has also been polished and shows only the lightest signs of wear.
The original silver Oysterquartz dial is in great condition. Almost all of these dials develop a brown discoloration along the edge where they meet the case over time; this is due to the case construction and is unavoidable. The dial here shows only a barely visible spot of this kind near the one-o’clock position.
This beautiful Oysterquartz comes with Rolex service papers from 2019. Service papers are significantly more important for an Oysterquartz than for other models, as Rolex thoroughly inspects the quality and function of the movement—and especially the quartz drive in quartz watches.
This is the most vulnerable part of Rolex quartz movements and replacement means high costs. Here, you can be confident that the movement and drive mechanism have been perfectly inspected, eliminating any financial risk.
The integrated 17000B Oysterquartz bracelet is in top condition. It has no stretch and includes all 12 links. Just as the case, it was lightly polished and shows minimal signs of wear. The clasp code “J2” (February 1984) indicates that the bracelet was original to the watch and that the timepiece left the Rolex factory in 1984 or 1985.
