Description: A wonderful GMT-Master with the so-called LONG E MK1 dial, with a perfect vintage look.

The case is in excellent condition. As the pictures show, it has been lightly polished before, but this time with perfect quality, meaning minimal material loss, beautifully sharp edges, and a perfect matte finish on the top of the case. Early 1675 cases had a slightly slimmer case from the factory than in later years, but with a much more prominent crown guard. This crown guard has been beautifully preserved and perfectly proportioned on this watch.

The MK1, or LONG E, dial is excellent. There are different versions of the LONG E dials, each with a different color. Many of the LONG E dials are quite gray on the cover and don’t really look that great. This dial, as one of the last LONG E dials produced, is jet black and extremely eye-catching on the wrist.

As you’ve probably already noticed from the pictures, the patina of the lume material is also wonderful. Strong and with an even color tone, just as we collectors desire.

The dial itself has, as is typical for MK1 LONG E dials, minimal flaws. The 11 o’clock index is missing a tiny bit of lume material, which is completely invisible in person, and the minute track at 6 o’clock is minimally damaged, but neither detracts from the quality of this dial at all and, as already mentioned, is typical of MK1 dials.

The bezel is wonderfully sharp, and the inlay is a wonderful bold font redback inlay with perfect aging. The dial/inlay combination is simply a dream!

The watch comes on a fantastic 7836 bracelet with minimal stretch and 12 full links. The bracelet once had a service clasp, but this is only noticeable by the number code in the clasp, so we left it as it is.

Conclusion: An early 1675 GMT that, overall, is one of the top examples of its reference. Absolutely authentic and with a perfect look.
