Wonderful 16710 GMT II with a rectangular dial and 3186 caliber movement from Greece.
The case is in excellent, unpolished condition. As the pictures perfectly show, the lugs are beautifully proportioned, the edges perfectly sharp, and the matte finish on the top of the case is flawless. The watch has seen very little wear since it was sold and therefore shows only the slightest signs of use.
The GMT-Master II dial is in perfect condition. This is the rare and demanded rectangular version. The Roman numeral II was printed slightly short, so the crossbars end above the horizontal lines, creating a rectangle, hence the name “rectangular.”
The hands, crystal, as wel as the bezel are perfect and the Coke inlay shows only the lightest signs of wear.
This top-quality 16710 is one of the last 16710s produced and already comes with the newer caliber 3186. In this configuration (rectangular case with 3186 caliber), the watch is an absolute rarity!
We are offering this watch as a fantastic full set. It has been originally sold in Greece, and the full set is truly excellent, including the GMT-Master booklet and hang tag with serial number.
The 78790A Oyster bracelet, befitting the quality of the watch, is also in top condition and unpolished. It has a unique feature: the watch never quite fit the original owner’s wrist perfectly, so the authorized dealer fitted it with the fold-out bracelet extension from the 116710LN. This is a nice extra feature that makes the watch truly one of a kind. The clasp code is OP11 for November 2006, indicating that this is the original bracelet for the watch.
