Description: Unpolished 16700 GMT in german full set
The case is in unpolished condition. Full lugs, great sharp edges and a wonderful matte finish are convincing right away. There is a small flaw on the lower right lug, which is absolutely not noticeable due to its position on the wrist. Otherwise, the case shows only minor signs of wear and no deep scratches or dents.
The Tritium GMT-Master dial is wonderful. The condition is perfect, with no weaknesses. Furthermore, the tritium lume has taken on a creamy patina and underlines the great character of this neo-vintage GMT.
The tritium hands harmonize wonderfully with the dial in terms of quality and patina.
The bezel is also unpolished with sharp teeths.
In addition to the condition and scope of delivery, the inlay is another highlight. It is a perfectly timed Pepsi inlay with a so-called “fat font serif” print. The numbers are printed much thicker than in later inlays and show clear serifs. The inlay also impresses with its beautiful and even aging.
This great 16700 delights its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold in February 1999 by Schumann KG in Bonn / Bad Godesberg (LC 100).
The 78790 Oyster bracelet is in the same top unpolished condition as the case. This is also the original bracelet to the watch, with clasp code U4 for April 1998.
Conclusion: A 16700 GMT that convinces in terms of appearance and quality. Neo-Vintage at it’s best.
