Description: Unpolished SWISS Only Explorer II with box and papers.
The case is in unpolished condition. It is characterized by full lugs, beautiful sharp edges and a very good matte finish. There are light signs of wear, but overall it is a great “fat” case with all the attributes that enthusiasts are looking for.
The dial is certainly the highlight of this watch. It is a so-called “SWISS ONLY” variant. This variant has only been used in 1998/99, when Rolex introduced a new lume material called Luminova which makes it the rarest dial variant in all Explorer II models ever built.
Of course the dial is also in perfect condition. The set of hands are also perfect.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp with bold black numbers.
This great Explorer II has traveled far. She has been sold on September 9, 1999 by rolex authorized dealer Gaspard in Noumea, NEW ZEALAND. Travelled around the whole world and now presented at thewatchguy to you.
Just as the watch,, the 78790 Oyster bracelet is top with light signs of wear and almost no stretch. The clasp code is X7 for July 1999 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: White Explorer II in a demanded variant with cool provenance.
