Description: Great white gold Day-Date with a wonderful tropical dial from Munich.

The case is in unpolished and very good condition. The watch has been worn throughout its life and therefore shows signs of wear, but the overall condition is convincing. Full lugs, wonderful proportions, sharp edges and a wonderful matte finish are evidence of a case that plays in the top league.

The bezel is also in top league, unpolished with signs of wear, similar to the case.

The dial is a highlight of this white gold Day-Date. Originally pure silver, this dial has undergone a transformation over the decades and has aged into a fine beige, slightly pink color. Because of this consistent aging process, there is a wonderful contrast to the white gold case.

In addition to the special nature of the dial, the condition is also amazing. All tritium light dots are completely intact and there is no damage whatsoever.

The tritium hands are also in great condition with a matching patina to the dial.

Great watch and great scope of delivery. This 18239 has been sold on May 27, 1998 by rolex authorized dealer Wempe on Weinstrasse in Munich. Also of note is the original box with the correct 18239 sticker, as well as the seal and the original day-date booklet in German.

The 8385 President bracelet in 18k white gold is unpolished, just as the watch. It only shows light stretch and consistent, light signs of wear. The crown on the clasp is wonderfully sharp and present. It comes with 22 links and with clasp code V6 for September 1996, which shows that Rolex simply pre-produced yellow gold cases in various years and used them as required. This 18239 was certainly completed in 1996, delivered and sold in 1998. This is also the original bracelet for the watch.

Conclusion: German white gold Day-Date with an exciting dial and great scope of delivery.
