Description: Highlight alert! Unpolished 6265 manual wind Daytona with box and papers and gorgeous BIG RED dial.
Awesome what a cool watch. Hand-wound Daytonas are simply something magical. The look, the proportions, these watches simply have expression. The sweetheart described below is a real highlight. Absolutely untouched, with the look we desire and seek. How do I find such treasures today?
Well, I was really lucky here that the original owner pulled the crown a little too hard two months ago and the watch stopped. I was contacted through a dealer friend and asked if I could get a replacement crown. Of course I also took the liberty of asking whether the watch was for sale. After a very fair offer from me and a restless night, the original owner agreed and so this beauty found its way to me all the way from Scandinavia.
The case is in fantastic unpolished condition. Perfect full lugs, wonderfully sharp edges and a great matte finish are convincing at first glance. Of course, this watch has been worn since 1987, but with great care. You can find typical signs of wear that further underline the authenticity of the condition.
By the way, the case back has an engraving that harmonizes wonderfully with the papers, but more on that later. You can remove the engraving, but I would like it to remain as it is a testimony to the time and harmonizes wonderfully with the papers.
The dial is another highlight. Wonderful BIG RED PANDA dial in perfect and by perfect I mean absolutely perfect condition! Wonderful sunray cut, bright red DAYTONA print and no damage from watchmakers (up to now only my watchmaker has been on it and he does it without leaving any traces ^^). Furthermore, all of the lume dots are wonderfully intact. The 3 index point shows that the lume application was not 100% perfect, but that was the quality standard at the time and there was nothing crumbled or anything like that.
The hands harmonize wonderfully with the dial in terms of quality and patina.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp with minor signs of wear and clear print.
We installed the t21 superdomed on the watch. It is NOS (new old stock) and gives the watch the final vintage KICK.
This beauty delights its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold on August 22, 1987 by the concessionaire Finlandia in Finland (LC 294). The buyer was a certain Juha Tabala and this is where the back cover comes again. The watch was a gift to himself and is engraved on the caseback with first name, date of birth and his social security number.
The original box is currently still with the customer and should arrive promptly. There will be a picture, but I think everyone knows what a box like this looks like.
The 78360 Oyster bracelet is unpolished just as the watch. It shows minor signs of wear and some stretch, but wears perfectly on the wrist. This is also the original bracelet for the watch with the correct clasp code K1 for January 1986.
By the way, we gave the watch a full factory service for the first time. Therefore, the buyer also receives a full two-year guarantee on the performance.
Conclusion: A Daytona highlight. Perfect condition, perfect story and delivery.
