Description: A stunning unpolished ellipse with an integrated white gold bracelet and a wonderful blue dial.
The case is in worn but unpolished condition. As the pictures show, this watch has been worn with pleasure but with love. Considering its age of more than 40 years, the existing signs of wear are truly very minor. Furthermore, as mentioned, it is unpolished and can therefore be polished without losing its beauty if desired.
The blue sunray-cut dial is in excellent condition. Many of these dials develop a patina over the decades, in the form of white lines or numerous brown spots. This dial has only a very small patina spot between 5 and 6 o’clock and is considered top quality.
Furthermore, this is the correct and rarer Swiss version and not a service dial, but an early dial variant before the switch to SIGMA dials.
The watch comes with a beautifully preserved Patek Philippe box and a small service invoice from a watchmaker dated 2009.
The integrated white gold bracelet is unpolished, just as the watch, with a perfectly preserved Calatrava cross on the clasp. It fits wrists up to approximately 17 cm in circumference.
Conclusion: I love the Ellipse for its unique design and expression. Shown here in white gold with a blue dial, it’s one of my favorite configurations.
