Description: Great German Day-Date with unpolished case and perfect black dial.
Another fine day date!. Great case in unpolished condition. Proportions, edges and the matte finish are all wonderful. Yes, the watch has even developed a bit of gold patina, which underlines the short wearing time. By the way, we can easily remove the patina with cleaning detergent on request.
The quality of the case is also underlined by the intact green stickers on the back.
The black day-date dial is in perfect condition and contrasts beautifully with the yellow gold case which makes the watch appear sportier on the wrist. All lume dots are of course intact and the patina of the lume material is identical to the patina of the hands.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp, unpolished and only shows minor signs of wear. The sapphire glas is perfect.
This beautiful Day-Date delights its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold in November 1994 by Rolex authorized dealer Juwelier Wallner in Nuremberg (Germany LC100).
The 8385 President bracelet is great, with actually no stretch (see picture), the crown on the clasp is perfect and unpolished and the bracelet has a total of 23 links.
Conclusion: The sporty version of the 18238 Day-Date in excellent condition from Germany.
