Description: Unpolished 18238 Day-Date from the last series from France.
The case is in wonderful and unpolished condition. It is characterized by perfect proportions, wonderfully sharp edges and a great matte finish on the top of the case. There are light signs of wear, but overall it’s a vintage day-date one could only wish for
Watches sold in France that contain precious metal have a special feature. They must have a hallmark. This hallmark can be found on the caseback and the perfect condition of the hallmark further underlines the quality of the case.
The golden sunray-cut dial with diamond indexes is in perfect condition. The hands are the same and show a wonderfully harmonious patina to the dial.
The bezel is perfectly sharp and the sapphire glas has no weaknesses.
The 8385 President bracelet is extremely good. All 24 links, zero stretch and signs of wear are minimal. The crown on the clasp is perfectly preserved. It has never been polished or anything like that! The clasp code is U2 for February 1998 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: What is the location in real estate, is the quality and delivery of watches.. Absolutely 1A+ location here 😉
