Description: Top 18038 with silver sunray cut dial and box and papers.

The case is in excellent condition. Recently carefully polished by my expert, it shows exactly the look that one wishes for on a vintage day-date again. Wonderfully even proportions, full lugs, a razor-sharp edge cut and a perfect matt finish on the top of the case.

The quality of a 18038 case can also be seen on the right side of the case. There must always be a wide gap between the bezel and the crown, which means the case must be thicker than the bezel at this area which is exactly how you want it on this watch!

There are minimal signs of wear, but of course no deep scratches, dents or anything like that

The silver sunray cut dial is in top condition. It shows a wonderful cut structure, perfect print and no damage. With the silver dials, I really appreciate the contrast between the yellow gold and the cool silvery structure of the dial.

The tritium hands are also in top condition with a harmonious patina.

This great Day-Date pleases its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold by rolex authorized dealer Bucherer in Geneva on 08/14/1981. The papers are handwritten, which is typical for Bucherer in Switzerland. The common theory here is that Bucherer did not always keep the respective papers with the watch due to the large sales figures and requested extra papers from Rolex so that they could be used individually for a watch when it was sold.

The 8385 President bracelet is in perfect condition. Just as the watch, we’ve polished it so it shows no signs of wear and no stretch. Wrist fun is guaranteed for the next decade. The bracelet‘s clasp code is B for the year 1980, making it the original bracelet to the watch.
