Description: A fine Single Quick Day-Date with a rare Jubilee bracelet in a full set from Germany.
The case is in very good condition. While certainly lightly polished in the past, it still displays full lugs, beautiful edges, and a very good matte finish on the top of the case. There are signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents, or anything like that.
The quality of an 18038 is always easily recognizable by the gap between the bezel and the crown. You have to be able to see the case to ensure quality and to ensure the watch hasn’t been overpolished. This is the case here and speaks volumes about its excellent condition.
The blue diamond dial with sunray-cut is not only an eye-catcher, it is also in perfect condition. As the Swiss Made imprint suggests, it is a service dial, but that’s easily overlooked given this stunning appearance. The hands are also coated with Superluminova and are perfect just as the dial.
This stunning Day-Date has been sold in Germany. Specifically, on February 15, 1982, from rolex authorized dealer Juwelier Jock in Karlsruhe (LC 100, Germany). The scope of delivery is top-notch, including a German Day-Date and Oyster booklet.
The bracelet is another highlight. This watch comes on a stunning 8386 Jubilee bracelet which is truly beautiful. It shows light signs of wear and only minimal stretch; see the stretch image. It is suitable for a wrist circumference of up to 17 cm.
