A stunning Buckley Dial Day-Date with presence

The case is very beautiful. Great substance, full lugs, beautiful edges, and an equally beautiful matte finish. There are signs of wear and a little sleeve polish but it’s a case with presence and an overall great look.

Incidentally, the quality of an 1803 can always be recognized by the distance between the bezel and the winding crown. If you can see the case between the two, the material is fine and the case hasn’t been over-polished.

The dial is a small highlight. It’s a so-called Buckley or by some even a pre-Buckley variant. Why is it called like that? There’s a dealer in the USA who loved these dials and, due to his passion, had the honor of naming them. But what’s much more important is the look. Some might say it’s a bit boring but I think it’s fantastic. A perfect blend of sportiness and classic style. It goes with everything. T-shirt or tuxedo. By the way, these dials also have special hands. These are completely blackened and only installed in this model.

The dial as well as the hands are in perfect condition! No flaws, all the lume dots are intact. That’s how it should be.

The bezel is also perfectly sharp and shows the same signs of wear as the case.

The leather strap is a fantastic dark blue snakeskin and the combination looks absolutely great on the wrist. The buckle is, of course, a Rolex (gold-plated).

Conclusion: A pretty unique and cool look at a fair price. I have one myself in my Day-Date collection and I enjoy wearing it all the time.
