Description: A beautiful GMT-Master 1675 from Germany with a truly perfect vintage look.
The case is in excellent condition. While it has certainly been polished before, it is still a truly magnificent case. It features full lugs, sharp edges, and a wonderful matte finish on the top of the case. There are light signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents, or anything like that.
The GMT-Master dial is one of the highlights of this watch. It is an MKV dial, which is, of course, original to the watch. These MKV dials have the special feature of being produced in the so-called Maxi version. MAXI means that the lume material is significantly larger than earlier versions which makes the dial appear much more prominent and is simply magnificent, especially when it has such a great patina as this one.
The hands are also in excellent condition and perfectly match the patina of the dial.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp and the bezel inlay is a truly magnificent “redback” inlay with wonderful colors in orange and light blue.
This stunning 1675 also delights its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold on December 22, 1980, by rolex authorized dealer Sticklmayer Jewelers in Hanau (LC 100, Germany).
The 78360 Oyster bracelet, just as the watch, is in fine vintage condition. The bracelet shows minimal stretch, wears perfectly, and, with a clasp code of VD for 1979, is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: An absolute vintage highlight. Good 1675s are rare, and truly amazing examples are extremely rare. This watch brings so much joy to the wrist, it’s truly priceless.
