German Maxi MKIV GMT as full set The case is in very good condition. Slightly polished in the past, it still shows good lugs, clean edges and a good matt finish on the top of the case. There are light signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that. The dial is a gorgeous MAXI MKIV dial. Great, powerful lume with a wonderfully creamy patina are the highlight of these MAXI dials and give them incomparable charm. The dial installed here is perfectly preserved, with just that strong application of lume material and the fine creamy patina that one could wish for. The tritium hands are in very good condition, with a wonderfully consistent patina to the dial. The bezel is sharp and the inlay is a terrific FAT FONT vintage Pepsi inlay. Gloriously aged with slightly faded colors, it complements the watch and dial beautifully. Of course it is a redback inlay as any collector would like it. This Maxi GMT is a German beauty. It has been sold on March 24th, 1981 by the Rolex AD Wempe in Bremen. By the way, you have to love the Germans, because only with German papers you will find the extra perforation for filing in the folder. The Jubilee bracelet is a correct and therefore expensive 62510H-50. Why am I mentioning this? Because the 50 stamp says that it is a correct 20mm Jubilee and not the 19mm version as is so often the case. The bracelet is a little later, with clasp code MA4 for 2005, wears wonderfully with little stretch and just as few signs of wear.
Conclusion: MAXI GMT with the finest charisma as a German collector’s set.
