Description: Nice 1675 with an MK2 dial and a wonderful fat font redback Pepsi.
The watch has been loved and worn over the past 50 years. Therefore, the case shows appropriate signs of wear and even a light polish in the past. Nevertheless, the proportions are very well preserved, with full lugs, the typical wide bevel of the early 1970s, and the matte finish is also well-preserved.
The matte MK2 dial is in very good condition. It features a clear print, a clean minute track, and the typical slightly grayish surface. The lume material on MK2 dials is often applied very thinly, causing it to develop very light cracks over the decades. This is also the case here, but it doesn’t bother on the wrist at all, and there’s no risk of anything crumbling.
The hands are in very good condition with a consistent patina to the dial.
The bezel is very sharp and the Pepsi inlay is an absolute eye-catcher. It’s a wonderful FAT FONT PEPSI inlay that has experienced light fading over time and now shines in a slightly patinated, yet vibrant red and blue. These inlays are called “Fat Font” because the numbers are printed very thickly. Fat Font werden diese Inlays übrigens deshalb genannt, weil der Druck der Zahlen sehr dick oder direkt übersetzt fett ist.
The 78360 Oyster bracelet is a later service bracelet. It shows superficial signs of wear and no stretch. It visually complements the watch beautifully and is fully suitable for everyday wear.
Conclusion: If you’re looking for wonderful vintage charm at a fair price, you came to the right place.
