Description: Great Coke GMT-Master in unpolished condition, with box and papers.
The case is in top, unpolished condition. As the pictures show, the proportions are perfect, the edges are wonderfully sharp and the matte finish on the top of the case is wonderful. There are the typical signs of wear that one would expect from a lightly worn and unpolished GMT from this period. Of course no deep dents, scratches or anything like that.
The top quality of the case is also underlined by the completely intact caseback sticker.
The GMT-Master II dial is in perfect condition with no weaknesses. The hands are also perfect.
Just as the case, the bezel is top notch, unpolished and the bezel inlay is a wonderful Coke inlay with bold serif print and strong colors. By the way, the P series is one of the last series on which you can find these beautiful bold inlays and I love them very much because they once again underline the vintage charm of these watches.
This unpolished GMT-Master II comes with box and papers. It has been sold on May 8, 2002 by rolex authorized dealer Chow Tai Fook Jewelery in Hong Kong (LC 888). The set is great, with Oyster booklet, original box with outer box (16710 sticker!) and HangTag with serial number.
As the watch, the 78790A Oyster bracelet is top notch, unpolished and with only minimal stretch and signs of wear. The clasp code is DE4 for April 2001 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: Unpolished, cool inlay, top set. GMT II for collection and wrist.
