The case is in very good condition. The case is in very good condition. Recently gently polished, it shows full lugs, beautiful edges and a very good matte finish on the top of the case. Signs of wear can be found but off course no deep scratches or dents
The dial is special. It is a so-called SWISS ONLY dial. In 1998, Rolex switched the production of luminous material from tritium to superluminova. During this change and only for a short period of about 2 years (1998 to 2000), dials with the SWISS imprint were used. From 2000 this changed to the well-known SWISS MADE.
Since the MADE is missing here, it is called SWISS ONLY.
Since this watch dates from 1999, it fits perfectly into the period mentioned. Therefore the dial and clock are 100% original and delivered as such.
The hands, just as the dial, are covered with Superluminova and are in top condition.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp, the sapphir glas is perfect and the Pepsi bezel inlay is in perfect condition with no marks
This great SWISS ONLY GMT delights its new owner with box and papers. It has been sold by Calderoni Sede in May 1999. What’s also particularly nice is that the original HangTag with serial number and price in Italian lira has been preserved.
The 78790 Oyster bracelet is in very good condition. The bracelet has also been carefully polished and therefore shows minimal signs of storage and transport. It also has only light stretch and comes with 11 links. The clasp code is X2 for February 1999 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: Cool 16710 GMT II in fine condition with the rarest dial variant of this reference!
