Description: Double RED Sea-Dweller of the last series in factory specification with full serial number on the caseback.
The case is in very good condition. Probably uniquely carefully processed, it shows full horns, a beautiful beveled edge and a very good matt finish on the top of the case. There are minor signs of wear on the edges, but nothing serious and in total a really great vintage Sea-Dweller case.
The Tritium Double RED Sea-Dweller dial is in wonderful condition, which makes collectors’ hearts beat faster. It shows no damage, a wonderfully clear and strong double-red Sea-Dweller lettering and the luminous material has aged into a wonderfully even and strong vanilla tone.
These colors, this expression, that’s what makes a double-red Sea-Dweller so fascinating for me.
Incidentally, I would particularly like to point out the lack of damage, including a completely intact minute track. Why? Because many double-red dials of the MKIV series unfortunately tend to peel off at the edges and this damage can then be seen very clearly. That is always a shame because it takes away a lot of charisma from the paper. So I’m more than pleased that this dial is TOP.
The original tritium hands are also in top condition and 98% match in color. They look a little lighter in the pictures, unfortunately this comes from the flash we use, which hits the pointer first and then the sheet. In reality, depending on the light, you can only see a nuance of difference.
The original bezel (recognizable by the wide edge / see serial and reference number pictures) is in very good condition with minor signs of wear and sharp teeth.
The MK3 bezel insert has aged wonderfully into a blue-gray tone and harmonizes perfectly with the colors of the dial.
As it should be, because this is the only way a 1665 Sea-Dweller looks really cool, this 1665 has also built in an original t19 superdomed Plexiglas as it has to be easy for a 1665 to show its full vintage beauty.
Before we get to the strap, another and very important part when it comes to Double Red Sea-Dweller. With very few exceptions from the last series, all Double Red Sea-Dwellers have either the full serial number or the last three digits of the serial number engraved on the inside of the lid. This is important because this is how the watch becomes absolutely correct. We have therefore made a picture of the housing cover especially for you, which shows the complete serial number!
The 93150 Oyster bracelet is in very good condition for its age. It shows little stretch and just as little signs of wear. It wears perfectly and with the clasp code VB for 1977 it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: Great Double-Red Sea-Dweller in factory specification with a wonderful face.
