Description: Exciting 16520 U series Daytona with original Superluminova dial in top quality
The case is in top condition. Recently subjected to a careful refurbishment, it shows full horns, perfect edges and an equally perfect matt finish on the top of the case. Signs of wear are minimal, in the form of micro-scratches and of course the case has no deep dents, scratches or anything like that.
The black Daytona dial with Superluminova luminous material is in perfect condition and has no weaknesses. Clear print, slightly creamy totalizers and a strong red Daytona lettering leave nothing to be desired.
Incidentally, this is a rare watch / dial combination. As we know, from the A series, which followed the U series, only dials with Superluminova luminous material were used. What many do not know, which is very rare, is that Rolex has already started installing Superluminova dials in the last watches in the U series (from U9XXXXX). Hence a real specialty and accordingly demanded.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp and shows clear numbers. The sapphire glas is perfect.
This great and rare black Zenith Daytona delights its new owner with box and papers. It was sold on 06/22/1999 by Schaap + Citroen in the Netherlands (LC 137) and comes with the original box including the outer box, perforated guarantee papers with the date of sale and dealer imprint (slight damage to the edge), leather case, translation and seal.
The 78390 Oyster bracelet is in very good condition. Just as the case, it has recently been polished, so it shows minimal signs of wear and only slight stretch. It wears perfectly and with clasp code X1 for January 1999 it is the original braceletfor the watch.
Conclusion: Top quality paired with rarity and scope of delivery make this Zenith Daytona exciting for every collection.
