What a watch. You just have to applaud to Rolex for their creativity and the eye they have for such special pieces. Watches with fine elegant and little bit of Bling design that it does only attract the eye of a true connioseur
The 116589 SACI is such a watch and after more than collecting modern and vintage Rolex i’m so glad i can offer one to my clients.
Produced in very limited quantity, the 116589SACI was offered with different dials as full diamond setting, MOP diamond dial or the present version, my favorite one by the way, the sodalite stone dial.
All 116589 have in common that the bezel is set with baguette cut sapphires. The SA in SACI stands for sapphires.
The present watch is in best condition. The case is unpolished with only minimum signs of wear. All hallmarks are perfect and even the original caseback sticker is still present.
The already mentioned sodalite stone dial is in perfect condition. No imperfections, no cracks, nothing. The different blues on the dial and the unique structure of every sodalite stone dial is a true eye catcher. Also the dial has a depth to the eye that we only see looking at stone dials like this one.
The sapphire bezel is also perfect. All stones fully intact with and even and strong blue color. Die ferner bereits erwähnte Saphir Lünette ist ebenso perfekt. Alle Steine volsltändig intakt mit kräftig blauer und absolut gleichmäßig blauer Farbgebung. Anyone who knows anything about gemstones knows that it is extremely difficult to find so many uniformly blue sapphires and then cut them so evenly.
The watch is coming as a full set with box and papers. It was sold from Mercury Distribution SA in Moscau (Russia).
Claps and the original blue alligator strap is in perfect condition.
Conclusion: A watch for the true collectors and connoisseur.
