Description: Outstanding Royal Oak moon phase aka OWL with Yves Klein dial.

The case is in perfect and unpolished condition. All proportions perfect, edges razor sharp and the matt finish leaves nothing to be desired. Signs of wear are minimal and only in the form of micro-scratches present.

The bezel completely reflects the quality of the case, is also unpolished with perfect gaps between screws and case and just as minimal signs of wear.

Just check how deep the screws are set inside the bezel. Rarely seen such a good quality Royal Oak from this period.

The dial is certainly the highlight of this watch. Wonderful and strong blue Yves Klein dial. Yves Klein was a French painter and sculptor who became known for his use of the same blue, which he patented and can be found today under the color code IKB 191.

Depending on the incidence of light, this blue has a unique look and was used exclusively by Audemars Piguet. The frist time I had an Yves Klein AP in my hands I fell in love with this intense and deep color and now everythime I have the luck to purchase one of these beauties my collector heart beats higher.

As the pictures wonderfully show, the dial is of outstanding quality. Many of these dials show a loss of color at the edges of the subdials, which is caused by the two-part lacquer that is necessary for this color. This dial shows almost no loss of color and is bright blue and breathtaking.

The original hands, like the dial, are in perfect condition with a harmonious patina.

Not only do we have a high-quality Royal Oak with an extremely rare dial, no, I can also offer this watch with  box and German papers. It was sold on December 14th, 2000 by AP Authorized retailer Wickhoff in Planegg (near Munich).

The integrated original Royal Oak bracelet is strong as an ox. You just look at the picture where the watch is on the bracelet and you will agree with me that we see a perfectly preserved bracelet without stretch. In addition, the bracelet, identical to the case, has minimal signs of wear and a perfectly closing folding clasp.

Conclusion: perfect watch, great dial, German set!
