Unpolished Random Series Daytona (one of the last 116520 models) with a fantastic Pavé dial.
The case is in a lightly worn but unpolished condition. As the photos perfectly show, the case retains excellent proportions and shows only light, superficial signs of wear; there are no deep scratches, dents, or anything like that.
The absolute highlight of this watch is, of course, the dial. Originally reserved for white gold models, in the 2010s—with a bit of luck—one could order a Pavé dial from an authorized dealer for a steel Daytona at a premium price. Depending on the year, the original cost was between €16,000 and €21,000. Few people did this, given that the list price for a steel Daytona in 2016 was €10,350.00.
These dials are extremely rare and—as you can see from the photos—simply stunning.
The condition of the dial is, of course, perfect and flawless.
The hands are the correct non-lume type and also in perfect condition.
The bezel is unpolished, shows only light signs of wear and the sapphire crystal is perfect.
This Daytona has been sold on September 17, 2016, by rolex authorized dealer Woertys BVBA in Knokke-Heist, Belgium (LC130). Based on its production and sale dates, it is one of the last 116520 models produced, as deliveries of its replacement, the 116500, began in late 2016.
The scope of delivery is excellent, including the Daytona booklet and seal.
Just as the watch itself, the 78590 Oyster bracelet is unpolished; it shows light signs of wear (desk diver) and comes with all links.
Conclusion: An amazing combination. It sparkles, it shines—it is simply a joy on the wrist.
