Blue “Snowflake” with wonderful patina.

The case is in good condition. While it has certainly been polished at some point, it retains good proportions, clean edges, and a nice matte finish on the top of the case. The watch has clearly been enjoyed and shows some signs of wear, but overall, it is a clean case that is a pleasure on the wrist.

The highlight here is, of course, the dial. Blue “Snowflakes” are rare. Blue “Snowflakes” free from major flaws—such as completely crumbled lume material or bubbling—are truly rare. Here, we have one of those rare, top-quality examples. The dial is beautifully preserved: crisp print, wonderful color, and no damage to the dial surface itself. The lume material has developed a lovely creamy-vanilla patina, with only minimal loss visible at the 9 o’clock mark. We have stabilized this area so the watch can be worn without worry.

The bezel remains sharp and the inlay is a blue service inlay.

The watch comes on a brand-new leather strap with a generic pin buckle.

Conclusion: Not a “perfect” Sub but a watch with absolute vintage charm in blue.
