Description: Beautiful and incredibly exciting Vacheron Constantin Audubon Birds of America limited edition wristwatch with cloisonné dial.

What a watch. An absolutely rare piece, currently only one additional watch available worldwide, with a wonderful dial and perfect charisma.

We’ll only briefly talk about the case. It’s unpolished, with typical light signs of wear that are unavoidable with yellow gold watches. We’d be glad to give the case a little refresh upon request, but the condition is perfect for those who like to wear their watches frequently.

Let’s get to the highlight of this watch now: the dial. This dial is a so-called cloisonné dial. Cloisonné is a technique that is more than thousands of years old. Fine gold wires are being applied to the design of the dial followed by filling the gaps with enamel and then firing the dial in a kiln.

As this information might suggest, the production of cloisonné dials is extremely complex and complicated. Today, only a small number of artists have the skills to create it. Muriel Sechaud is one of these artists and is responsible for the design of this wonderful dial. The design comes from a book by John J. Audubon about the birds of America.

Vacheron Constantin launched this series at great expense in the early 2000s, producing a total of ten designs, each with ten dials. Therefore, there are a total of 100 pieces of 43060/1 watches with different designs.

The dial’s condition is perfect, by the way. A wonderful sight on the wrist.

In addition to the dial, the caseback also knows how to convince. The caseback can be opnened by a pusher on the side of the case, revealing the movement. An ultra-thin Caliber 1120 is installed, which here features a hand-engraved and skeletonized rotor.

The original Vacheron Constantin leather strap is original to the watch and is in good condition. The original Vacheron Constantin buckle is equally fine and has been included in the original scope of delivery.

Conclusion: Art on the wrist. A visual beauty, with technical and artistic finesse.
