What a case. Unpolished, with perfect proportions, wonderfully sharp edges and a great matte finish on the top of the case.
The condition of a Royal Oak case can be judged by the position of the bezel to the case, the screw distances from the bezel edge and the transition from case to bracelet. Everything is perfect here. Just compare this perfect case with other 5402 on the market and you will see the difference immediately.
There are of course signs of wear and a minimal scratch on the 2 o’clock, but this watch has the perfect vintage charm that we love.
The Petit Tapestry is in wonderful condition. Off course it is the original version with the AP logo in the lower half of the dial. The print is perfectly clear and the dial is already starting to age slightly into brown. A cool effect that gives the dial further charm. The hands are in top condition with a matching patina to the dial.
The integrated Royal Oak bracelet is convincing immediately. Please take a look at the picture with the watch standing on the clasp. I have rarely seen a better 5402 bracelet. The bracelet is of course also original to the watch with the correct clasp with Audemars Piguet lettering.
Conclusion: A vintage beauty and an icon that is hard to find in this quality.
