The case of this Day-Date is in wonderful vintage condition. UNPOLISHED, it shows light signs of wear and a slight polish on the lugs. However, the proportions are perfect, the case is wonderfully thick and that’s exactly how you want a Vintage Day-Date to be.
The silver sunray cut dial is in perfect condition with no flaws. All lume points are intact and have a wonderful patina. The hands are also covered with tritium lume and is also in perfect condition. The patina is a nuance lighter, which is typical for the time and is almost invisible in person.
The sapphir glas is perfect and the bezel is lovely with bark finish and only minor signs of wear.
Why is a 18248 such a special reference? This is a Day-Date with classic bark finish, but with demanded Double Quick movement.
