Description: A fantastic late Explorer II with caliber 3186 and a random serial number.
The case is in worn but unpolished condition. It shows perfect proportions, sharp edges, and a beautiful matte finish on the top of the case. There are signs of wear and a small chip on the lower edge of the upper right lug, which is not noticeable on the wrist as it is concealed.
The black Explorer II dial is in perfect condition. The hands are also in excellent condition.
The bezel is still wonderfully sharp, all numerals are fully intact and it shows the same light signs of wear as the case.
The watch is offered as a beautiful full set with box and papers. It has been sold on February 4, 2011, by rolex authorized dealer Emperor Watch Co. in Hong Kong (LC 888).
The watch has recently received a full service from our master watchmaker and is running perfectly!
The 78790A Oyster bracelet, just as the watch, is in top condition, unpolished and shows light signs of wear. It has 11 links and with clasp code RS8 for August 2010, is also the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: A fantastic Explorer II with two rare features: the 3186 caliber movement and a random serial number. One of the last of these classic watches ever made.
