For sale is most probably the best tropical 7928 Tudor gilt chapter ring dial Submariner from 1966.
The case is in perfect and unpolished condition. Perfect super thick lugs with correct wide and sharp edges and the original matte finish on top of the lugs fully present. As you can see from the pictures the case is exactly what we collectors are looking for when it comes to early Rolex or Tudor Subs.
Sure there are some signs of wear present on the watch but i have to say i felt in love with the whole watch and the case condition at first sight.
Another highligt or let’s say the HIGHLIGHT of the watch is the beautiful and perfect tropical gilt chapter ring dial. These dials are hard to find because produced for a short period and many have been changed during services in the past. Today there are only a very small number of these dials out in such a perfect condition.
As you can see from the pictures the condition is really perfect with clear writing and perfect warm lume. Further the whole dial has faded to a strong and even tropical brown color which is just amazing.
Together with the original hands the look of the watch is 100% correct and perfect. Off course we’ve done a shot in the dark for you aswell to show the light up of the lume when exposed to strong light. That’s also correct for such dials and therefore i can guarantee watch and dial are 1000% correct.
Really it doesn’t get better than that ^^ The bezel ist he original old style one with sharp theet and light signs of wear. The bezel inlay is a rare and period correct long5 or MK2 inlay with a crazy nice fading into grey/brown. Together with the dial a perfect match. The plexi glass is off course an old style t19 superdomed to finish the perfect look of the watch.
The 7206 rivet oyster bracelet is also in top condition. It’s unrestored with light stretch and the correct 80 endlinks. The clasp code is 3/63 so it’s a little bit older as the watch.
Conclusion: If you are looking for something special in perfect condition, that’s the watch you are looking for.
