Description: Wonderful blue Tudor Submariner Date as special edition, also called ENDGAME
The case is in great and unpolished condition. It shows the typical case finish of the late classic Tudor Submariner. It is slightly rounder, wider and makes the case appear significantly larger and gives the watch more presence on the wrist. There are minor signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that.
The blue Submariner Date dial is in perfect condition with no weaknesses. It is one of the last watches with tritium lume and has acquired a great creamy patina. The hands are also in perfect condition with a matching patina to the dial.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp. But let’s talk about a real highlight of this watch now. A special edition was added to the 79190 towards the end of production which had a metallic inlay with a polished surface on both the black and blue dials. This inlay has a special charm and makes the watch unique in its configuration. Neither Rolex nor Tudor had a comparable inlay version before or since.
This great blue Tudor SUB will delight its new owner as a great full set. The watch has been sold on June 17, 1998 by Zurich Watch Co. in Hong Kong (LC 400). The set is really cool with original hangtag with serial number, booklet and original box.
As this is one of the last classic Tudors to be produced, this 79190 is already fitted with the massive 78500 Tudor Oyster bracelet. Just as the watch, the bracelet is in great condition, unpolished and with clasp code Z4 for April 1997, it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: It’s ENDGAME time. Really cool and unique Tudor Sub in collector’s quality.
