Description: Beautiful Maxi MKIV Submariner with amazing patina
The case is in very good condition. Probably polished once with little material removal, it shows full lugs, beautiful edges and a good matte finish on the top of the case. There are signs of wear and also some sleeve polish, but overall it is a wonderful vintage case.
The highlight and heart of this watch is the wonderful dial. It is the MAXI MKIV variant. The condition of the dial is wonderful and as the pictures have certainly already shown, the lume has taken on a wonderfully strong and even patina, which gives this vintage treasure the perfect look.
The hands are also in top condition with an identical patina to the dial. The second hand has a small crack, but we fixed it and it can only be seen with a loupe.
The bezel is well sharp and of course the watch has a t19 superdomed plexiglas, because this is the only way to fully showcase the vintage look.
The inlay is also original to the watch as it is the late MK3 variant, in which the roof of the 4 of 40 is already a little wider. This variant has been used on the MKIV and MKV Maxi Submariner and is therefore original to the watch.
Attention! As you can see, the inlay is missing the pearl. I was able to find a matching pearl from a collector friend and so the watch comes with that pearl!
The 93150 Oyster bracelet is great, just as the watch, with no significant signs of wear and almost no stretch. It has been replaced during a service in 1990 and therefore the clasp code is O3 for March 1990.
Conclusion: Vintage Heaven. Beautiful Sub that makes every collectors heart beat faster.
