To die for 5402ST Royal Oak B serial with tropical dial from my private collection.
This is a watch to fall in love with. Coming directly from the family of the first owner this great 5402ST B serial tropical is a great addition to any collection.
The watch was purchased 1977 from the first owner in Germany. It was loved, regulary worn and luckily never received a service until i bought it. So the watch came unpolished but off course with signs of wear all over the case.
After long thinking i decided to send the watch to Audemars Piguet to give her a full movement service and a very light polishing and the result is just perfect.
Wonderful razor sharp edges and a perfect matte finish represents a top top 5402ST. There are very light signs of wear but no deep scratches or anything like that.
The highlight of the watch is for sure the dial. Talking about TROPICAL we often se many offers which are more grey or very light brown.
But TROPICAL has to be BROWN and the hazelnut BROWN of this dial is just a mindblower. Evenly faded and off course 100% naturally faded it’s just magic. Also a big plus is that all graphics on the dial (minute track / AP writing) are in perfect condition. If you are after a TROPICAL Royal Oak this is the one to buy.
Off course the hands are the original one’s with patina and were not changed during the service.
The watch will be delivered with Audemars Piguet Service papers from 2021 including service card and invoice. The total cost of the service was EUR 1.630,30. The service is super important because right now you wait about 2 years for a 5402 service and it costs you at least 5k.
The integrated Royal Oak bracelet is in top condition. We made an extra picture to show you the very very light stretch of the bracelet and off course it’s the original bracelet with Gay Freres clasp and the fully written Audemars Piguet name on the folding clasp. Conclusion: This watch was for a long time in my collection and it’s super hard to offer it for sale. On the wrist this watch is just magic and you will be in love from the first moment you see it.
