Description: Great German Day-Date in unpolished condition in the classic gold/gold version.
A Day-Date for collectors. Unpolished, with perfect proportions, minor signs of wear and light sleeve polish. The edges are still wonderfully sharp and the bezel is also wonderfully present. The caseback sticker underlines the top condition and please note the engraving on it, which we are happy to remove upon request.
The golden sunray-cut dial is perfect. All lume dots are intact and the patina is wonderfully consistent with the equally well preserved hands.
This classic Day-Date comes with box and papers. It has been sold in October 1989 by rolex authorized dealer Uhren Wallner in Nuremberg (LC100 Germany).
The 8385 President bracelet is great, with very slight stretch, consistent minor signs of wear and 23 links. The crown on the clasp is perfectly preserved and unpolished. The clasp code is N1 for January 1989 and is therefore the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: The classic gold/gold or “Soprano” variant. Condition and delivery top as expected.
