Beschreibung: A beautiful and perfectly preserved Day-Date with a rare dial.

Quality-wise, this is certainly one of the best Day-Dates I’ve had the pleasure of offering in a long time. The case is simply perfect. I’d almost go so far as to call the watch NOS, or new old stock. The caseback sticker is perfectly intact, including the original red sticker, and of course, it’s completely unpolished and untouched. Outstanding quality. I estimate the watch has been worn perhaps 10 times in its lifetime. The signs of wear are so minimal that only minimal surface swirls can be found.

The dial is another highlight. Black Day-Date dials are already rare; in the 80s and 90s, people simply liked to buy tone-on-tone, gold-colored dials. Here, however, we have the even rarer black dial with Roman numerals and the early T Swiss T marking, which perfectly matches the early model year of this 18238. This, combined with its perfect condition, is magnificent.

The hands are also perfect, with a matching patina to the dial. The bezel is razor-sharp and the sapphire crystal is perfect.

This wonderful Day-Date comes in a stunning full set from Italy. It has been sold in January 1990 by authorized dealer Gobbi in Milan, Italy.

The 8385 President bracelet is perfect, just as the watch. No stretch and only minimal superficial marks. It comes with all 24 links and with clasp code O10 for October 1989, is the original bracelet for the watch.
