Description: Great German Day-Date in perfect condition with wonderful silver diamond dial.
The case is in top condition. Never polished at all, it shows super sharp lugs, perfect proportions and a also perfect matte finish on top of the case. The great quality of the case is also underlined by the fully present caseback sticker.
Signs of wear are present but only very light and off course no deep scratches, dents or so.
The silver diamond sunray dial is an absolute eye catcher. It’s the correct T Swiss T marked version that was used for 18038 and this is quite interesting and cool because all the print on the dial shows the thicker serifs. Further all lume plots are fully intact and with a super patina that contrasts perfectly with the silver dial. The hands are also top with matching patina to the dial.
The bezel is razor sharp and the crystal is perfect.
This top Day-Date was sold in Germany. It was sold 11.05.1987 from Rolex AD Georg Kittel in Aurich. The set is really great, including both booklets and the original box. The inside of the box is missing by the way as it was used to store gold coins in the safe.
The 8385 president bracelet is as great as the watch. Zero Stretch, exakt the light signs of wear as the watch and a perfect preserved crown on the clasp. It’s coming with 23 links and with clasp code L3 für march 1987 it’s the original bracelet to the watch.
Conclusion: A super super cool Day-Date that makes you smile from the first second.
