Description: Blue Plexi yellow gold Submariner with great charisma.

The case is in very good condition. Last serviced by Rolex in 2001, it displays beautiful proportions, clean edges, and a very good matte finish on the top of the case. There are signs of wear, but no deep scratches, dents, or anything like that.

The blue Submariner dial is not only wonderful, it is also in perfect condition. The vibrant blue and the magnificent sunray-cut finish on the dial are make it my favorite yellow gold Submariner. The look is just right.

The hands are also in top condition, with a matching patina to the dial.

The bezel is still sharp, and the inlay has been replaced during the service in 2001. The inlay shows almost no signs of wear.

The watch comes with service papers from the USA, service booklet, and the original Oyster booklet from the time of delivery.

The yellow gold Oyster bracelet is in beautiful condition. It shows light stretch, light signs of wear, and comes with all 12 links. Incidentally, this is the early and much rarer version with the special clasp.

In the early version, the Rolex crown serves to open the clasp, whereas in the later version, the crown is only stamped on the clasp. This is, of course, the original bracelet for the watch, as a 1680/8 (1973) comes with exactly this bracelet.

Conclusion: A yellow gold diver’s watch has always been the height of decadence. Here, you will find this decadence in beautiful condition at a fair price.
