Description: Top MKIV Red Submariner with original folded bracelet.
The case is in very good condition. Lightly polished in the past, it features full lugs, clean edges, and a nice matte finish on the case back. There are signs of wear of course but overall, it’s a case with great potential and vintage charm.
The highlight is undoubtedly the wonderful MKIV Red Submariner dial. As the pictures perfectly show, the printing is wonderfully clear, the red lettering is vibrant, and the dial shows no flaws whatsoever. Even the minute track, which often shows chips, is flawless here.
The tritium lume shows the typical waffle pattern and has developed a beautiful, rich patina.
The hands are in very good condition, with a characteristically slightly lighter patina than the dial. This is not noticeable in person or on the wrist.
The bezel is still nice sharp, and the MK3 insert, original to the watch, shows signs of wear. However, it is a fat font insert with a thick print and a cool greyish discoloration.
The 9315 folded oyster bracelet is in very good vintage condition. It shows the typical stretch for folding bracelets but is very comfortable to wear and, with all links included, is perfectly suited even for larger wrists. The clasp code is 4/70, confirming that it is the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: A very cool MKIV Red Submariner with the right vintage appeal.
