For sale is a very nice Rolex 1680 RED Submariner Date from 71 with MKIV dial. The case is in very good condition. Slightly polished in the past it shows nice proportions, clear edges and a very good matte finish on top of the lugs. Light signs of wear are present on the watch but no deep scratches, dents or anything like that. The original MKIV RED Submariner dial is in great condition without any imperfections. The lume has aged to a nice creamy yellow color and in combination with the stron red RED Submariner print the look is wonderful. If you check out the macro pictures of the dial you will spot one feature and reason why i like the MKIV dials so much. Similar as with meters first RED Submariner dials (MK 1-3) the red RED Submariner writing is printed on top of a white primer. This makes it more present and it seems like it’s popping out of the dial. The original tritium hands are in very good condition. Depending on light the lume is a bit darker as the dial but that doesn’t affect the beauty of the whole watch and it’s just another proof that the hands are original to the watch. The bezel inlay is a very nice fat font MK3 inlay with strong black color. If you are new into vintage i can tell you that a MK3 inlay is perfect for a MKIV Red Submariner and perfect means like factory delivered. And to finalize my description here are the infos for the bracelet. Very nice and original to the watch 9315 folded oyster bracelet with light stretch and correct 280 endlinks. Clasp code is 1/72 which is perfect for the watch which was built at the end of 71 or beginning of 72.
So this is a very nice MKIV Red Submariner with alle the features are collector is searching for.
