Description: Great Coke GMT II with rare RECTANGULAR dial
The case is in worn but unpolished condition. As the pictures perfectly show, the case has great proportions, and the matte finish on the top of the case is fully present. Signs of wear and a few small dents on the lower lugs are visible but in total this is a top case for the collection and for your wrist.
The dial is a highlight. It is the so-called RECTANGULAR dial which refers to the GMT-Master II print and in this case on the roman two. In this version, the number 2 is without broad horizontal lines, giving it the appearance of a rectangle. A cool feature for collectors and connoisseurs.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp, unpolished and the bezel inlay is top with only light signs of wear.
This watch comes as a full set with box and papers. It has been sold from rolex authorized dealer Oriental Watch Co. in Hongkong (LC888). Worth mentioning is the original hangtag that has been preserved which means that all parts of the delivery that have a serial number are available.
Just as the watch, the 78790A oyster bracelet is in top condition. Recently lightly polished, it shows almost no signs of wear and only light stretch. The clasp code is MA7 for August 2005, and since it’s a very early Z series from late 2005 or early 2006, it is certainly the original bracelet for the watch.
Conclusion: Great 16710. Unpolished case. Rare dial. Great set. That’s how we like it.
