Description: Fine Tritium Sea-Dweller with a wonderful vintage look.
The case is in worn but unpolished condition. As the pictures perfectly show, the case has great proportions, the typical wide edge cut of the early 16600 Sea-Dweller and the matt finish on the top of the case is also fully present. There are signs of wear and also one or two bigger flaws, but all in all, in my opinion, a wonderful vintage case that invites you to continue to wear this watch with pleasure.
The Sea-Dweller dial with tritium lume is in great condition with no weaknesses. The lume has taken on a fine, creamy patina and the set of hands are also tritium with a patina that matches the dial.
The bezel is wonderfully sharp with clear teeth and the original bezel inlay has turned into a great shade of blue over the years which fits wonderfully with the charm of the watch. Vintage and modern combined perfectly.
The watch is offered as a beautiful full set with box and papers. It has been sold in Japan on August 6, 1994.
In addition to the box and papers, the original and complete toolkit is also a big bonus for this watch.
Just as the watch, the 93160 Oyster bracelet is in fine vintage condition. The bracelet shows a bit of stretch, but wears perfectly on the wrist and with the clasp code S3 for March 1993, this is certainly the original bracelet for the watch. At that time, it was quite common for watches to vary depending on the market situation and only be put together and delivered by Rolex when needed.
Conclusion: Great watch with a lot of vintage charm. Nothing for the “unworn” hunters.
